Official Rules & Regulations The Nexus Soccer League consists of four teams competing in a competitive 5v5 season. Teams: Axis FC Ascension United Sporting Valor Apex Athletic Each team will have 6–7 players. Unless otherwise stated below, all matches will follow the current FIFA Laws of the Game as adapted for 5v5 soccer.

Official Rules & Regulations The Nexus Soccer League consists of four teams competing in a competitive 5v5 season. Teams: Axis FC Ascension United Sporting Valor Apex Athletic Each team will have 6–7 players. Unless otherwise stated below, all matches will follow the current FIFA Laws of the Game as adapted for 5v5 soccer. ⸻ Registration Entry Fee: $10 per player Registration Deadline: July 24 Registration is final. Once payment is submitted, there are no refunds. ⸻ Player Draft The player draft will take place on July 25. Each club will be represented by a captain responsible for selecting players. Captains: Ascension United — Law Axis FC — Zeke Sporting Valor — Gad Apex Athletic — Cameron ⸻ League Format The regular season consists of a double round-robin schedule. Each team will play every other team twice, resulting in six regular-season matches per team. At the conclusion of the regular season: 1st Place will face 2nd Place in the Nexus League Final. The winner of the final will be crowned the Nexus League Champion. Prize money will be divided equally among every member of the championship team, regardless of games played or minutes played. ⸻ League Standings There are no draws. Regulation Win — 3 Points Extra Time Win — 2 Points Loss — 0 Points Standings will be determined by: Total Points Head-to-Head Record Overall Goal Differential Head-to-Head Goal Differential ⸻ Match Format Each match will be played as follows: 1st Quarter — 15 Minutes Water Break — 1 Minute 2nd Quarter — 15 Minutes Halftime — 5 Minutes 3rd Quarter — 15 Minutes Water Break — 1 Minute 4th Quarter — 15 Minutes Total Regulation Time: 60 Minutes If the score is tied after regulation: Extra Time — 10 Minutes If still tied, Penalty Shootout ⸻ Team Responsibilities Each captain is responsible for: Ensuring their team is present, prepared, and on time for every match. Communicating with league officials regarding scheduling. Maintaining good sportsmanship toward opponents, officials, and other teams. If a team cannot play its scheduled match, its captain must notify league officials at least 24 hours before kickoff. Failure to provide at least 24 hours’ notice will result in a 3–0 forfeit loss. ⸻ Player Movement Player Additions & Replacements A player may be added or replaced after the draft only with approval from at least three of the four team captains (3/4 approval). Player Trades Players may be traded through the end of Week 4. All trades require unanimous approval from all four team captains (4/4 approval). All trades, additions, and replacements must be finalized no later than 24 hours before the affected team’s next scheduled kickoff. ⸻ Substitutions Substitutions are unlimited. Substitutions may only be made during a stoppage in play. Players may enter the field only after receiving the referee’s permission. ⸻ Disciplinary rules are as follows: Three accumulated yellow cards result in an automatic one-match suspension. Any red card—whether issued directly or resulting from two yellow cards in the same match—results in an automatic one-match suspension. ⸻ End-of-Season Awards The following awards will be presented after the League Final: Goalkeeper of the Season Golden Boot (Most Goals) Top Assister League MVP
